The mobile gaming market is flooded with low-quality clones. Our mission
with Alpha Protocol was to prove that console-quality depth is possible on a
handheld device. We didn't want just "another game"; we wanted a pocket
universe.
Developed entirely in-house by our Warpunk division, this project pushed the
boundaries of Unity's rendering pipeline, utilizing custom shaders and
real-time lighting usually reserved for PC titles.
Technical Breakthroughs
To achieve this vision, we had to overcome significant technical hurdles:

Optimization: Achieved 60 FPS
on mid-tier devices through aggressive occlusion culling and memory
management.

Networking: Built a custom
lag-compensation layer on top of Photon for seamless multiplayer
battles.

Art Style: Created a unique
"Cyber-Fantasy" aesthetic that stands out in the app store.
